Youth Red Cross of SSDM College has been rendering its service to the students and to the society from the year 1999 onwards. It is a group movement. The unit has a total membership of more than 150 students.

Objectives

• To create awareness among the youth to take care of their own health and that of others.

• To maintain a spirit of service.

• To cultivate helping tendencies.

• Noble services to the sick and suffering.

• Promotion of national and international friendship.

• Assistance to the disaster victims.

Regular Activities

• Creating awareness among public and student community about Blood and Eye donation.

• Conducting AIDS awareness class.

• First Aid Training programmes.

• Anti-Smoking and Anti-Drug Campaigns.

• Conducting disaster management training camp.

• Blood donation camp, Yoga camp.
