The Department of Computer Science is one among the science divisions of
ManonmaniamSundaranar
University that offers a B.Sc. Computer Science and Information Technology, the
full-time
six-semester program spread more than three years beginning from the scholarly year
2007 – 2008
with 9 understudies. The program gives a strong hypothetical establishment through
excellent
instructing supplemented by broad functional learning. It is resolved to grant
quality training
taking all things together fields of IT, a field filling by a wide margin.
This arrangement of encounters includes a part of the huge events and several the
many submitted
and visionary people that add to the improvement of a formalized program in the
field of
computer programming and information advancement. All through the following years,
the workplace
has continued to broaden and develop its teaching and investigation plans.
The Internet enables computer lab with over 60 computers to meet the students’ Information Technology needs. Trained and experienced teachers provide both theoretical and practical lessons for students to help them navigate a rapidly changing technology-driven world.

The department association was named as “ZESTA” (Zeal & Energetic Student Talent Association). ZESTA was inaugurated in the year 2009 in the presence of our farmer college principal Prof. D. Kathambarajan M.Sc., M.Phil., PGDBA., on 08/08/2009. Intercollegiate meet was conducted with various events such as Software Contest, Puzzle game, Software Bazaar and quiz competition for the students to explore their hidden talents. In the year 2012, Association magazine was released in the name of “ZESTA Arsenal Tech”. Association activities were conducted every year to motivate our students as well as other college students to show their hidden talents.
